Carlow Fringe Festival 2021

The Carlow Fringe Arts Festival 2021 started from the 4th to the 12th of June.

The Carlow Fringe Arts Festival is an annual event that encompasses painting, photography, crafts, print, art, and music, that takes place in Carlow Town.

The festival runs over ten days, full of exhibitions, live music, poetry, and storytelling as well as collaborative events where budding artists can join with the professionals to produce art on the street.

This year’s Carlow Fringe Arts Festival has virtual concerts streaming every night, new murals in Carlow Town, online art lessons, virtual art exhibitions, and displays in local shop windows.

Carlow Fringe Arts Festival Headquarters is located at 140 Tullow Street, Carlow Town, but isn`t open this year.

‘Made in Carlow‘ is located at 139 Tullow Street, Carlow Town, right next to Carlow Fringe Arts Festival HQ. It is open daily 10 am – 6 pm. ‘Made in Carlow‘ showcasing unique and original local arts & crafts. It is an art gallery, arts and crafts shop, and gifts shop. Full of stunning and fabulous local artwork and craft pieces. For example, there was a beautiful piece of art: A ceramic sculpture of Carlow Railway Station made by Sonja Guenther.

“Turning Hate Into Love” Ben Jelliman, who is part of the Fringe Arts Festival team, transformed a symbol of hate into art in Carlow Town. This small new mural is located on the bridge next to Carlow Bus Station.
