I went to see The Annual Photographic Exhibition ‘Exposure 16’ organized by the Carlow Photographic Society. It took place throughout the week of 1st – 9th of June on 43 Tullow Street in Carlow Town. Opposite the Carlow Library next to Whites Chemist.
Stunning photos, well worth a visit and get a glimpse of the Carlow Photographic Society member’s pictures. This year members are also exhibiting some special projects based on ‘Hidden Carlow’. So there were photos of the amazing ruins of Duckett`s Grove. It is one hidden gem and one of the most photogenic historic buildings in the County of Carlow. Also, photos of Ballymoon Castle which is one of the more unique and mysterious castles in County Carlow.
Some members display images of Carlow not typically seen. Examples are the beautiful photography of Anna Karolina Nowak who moved the world of ballet to photography. Her photos were taken in Studio Dancewear in Carlow owned and run by Jane Byrne, a former teacher of Ballet and Modern Theatre Dance.
I liked also photos of Carlow-colored doorways.
This year Exposure Exhibition also supports the charity the UgaIrish Project.
UgaIrish Project exists to support and encourage Ugandan communities to be in a position to provide for themselves through sustainable enterprise the basic needs of life – education, health, food, and accommodation.
