Nicholas Mosse Visitors` Centre, Co. Kilkenny

Nicholas Mosse Visitors` Centre set in a former flour mill in the picturesque village of Bennettsbridge, County Kilkenny.

So, Nicholas and his wife, Susan, founded Nicholas Mosse Pottery in 1976. Nicholas discovered his love of pottery and the craft of shaping when he was just 7 years old. His first ever piece is on display in their café.

Today, tree floor mill houses:

Master potter Nicholas Mosse crafts fine earthenware from Irish clay. People across the world love his work decorated with traditional motifs inspired by old Irish spongeware.

  • And the upstairs Café that overlooks the River Nore and the magnificent multi-arched bridge from which the town gets its name.

The extensive Irish Country Shop offers all sorts of necessary items and gifts for country lovers.
