Greenroom Restaurant at the Seafield Hotel, Co. Wexford

The Greenroom Restaurant at the Seafield Hotel is the most elegant and poshest restaurant I had dinner at, so far.

What’s more, Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort is a 4-star luxury hotel in County Wexford. Undoubtedly one of the finest luxury resorts on the east coast of Ireland.

And then, it is set on 160 acres of tranquil wooded parkland. Just an hour from Dublin on the sands of Ballymoney shore. Besides, it has a private riverside walk to the white sands of Ballymoney Beach, with the dramatic backdrop of Tara Hill.

Seafield Hotel was built in 2007. And it was designed by Italian architect Francesco Beia. Moreover, in a clean contemporary style that maximizes natural daylight and fully promotes awe-inspiring sea views.

Besides, the hotel is split between the rooms of the main building and a separate enclave of house accommodation. Nestled among a swathe of coastal parkland, including an 18-hole golf course, set beside miles of secluded beach.

Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort offers guests luxurious accommodations, fine dining, and leading-edge conference facilities. And an exquisite Oceo Spa with over 60 treatments.

There are two options for dining at Seafield Hotel:

The Greenroom Restaurant or the Village Bar & Grill, we chose the Greenroom Restaurant.

As I found out, the Greenroom Restaurant has won many awards, including two AA Rosettes. 2 AA Rosettes mean excellent restaurants that aim for and achieve higher standards and better consistency. Greater precision is apparent in the cooking, and there will be obvious attention to the selection of quality ingredients.

So, that is meant Seafield’s 2 AA Rosette Greenroom Restaurant creates cuisine to rival that of the best kitchens in Europe.

We had a starter, a main course, and a dessert, all sophisticated and stunningly presented. We started with fish cake. For the main course, I had Duck Breast with honey, herb raisin, and pine nuts wonton, Jerusalem artichokes variation, fresh blackberry, raspberry, gel, pakchoi. And my friend had pan-fried citrus marinade Hake with lime pea, broccoli, quinoa, Asian-style fish cake, and tomato and basil sauce. And then, for dessert, we shared strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate ice cream basket.

Since we arrived, I was delighted with the posh and contemporary design of the lobby and the Restaurant area. Also, I was a little intimidated at the beginning, because all the guests were dressed so posh. But the staff were very friendly and welcoming. So, my overall experience was great and would recommend dining here. The food was tasty and we had a very pleasant evening.
