Carlow Farmers Market Halloween Event

One of the events of Scarefest 2018 was Carlow Farmers Market Halloween Event. Which took place on Saturday the 27th of October, 9 am-2 pm, at Potato Market.

Carlow’s family-friendly Halloween Festival took place in Carlow town from Friday, October 26th to Sunday, November 4th. Events, courtesy of lots of great places in Carlow.

Carlow Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday morning between 9 am and 2 pm.

It is at the Potato Market in Carlow town, a central shopping area. There are a wide variety of producers selling their fresh and local products.

Carlow Farmers Market started trading in July 2004. And is considered unique because it is one of a few authentic farmer’s markets. Where producers are all local, produce their own products, and sell mainly their own produce.

Here consumers are offered fresh local produce including local fruit and vegetables. Organic fruit and vegetables, jams, chutneys, and juices as well. Also organic meat, free-range meat, and dry-cured bacon products. Crepes cooked on site, chocolates and truffles, country-style butter, quiches, and savory tartlets too. Also traditionally crafted bread and cakes, specialty bread, and sweet fare. A range of locally produced cheeses, olives and pesto, fresh fish, free range eggs. Moreover summer and winter bedding plants and vegetable and herb plants and other seasonal products.

On Saturday the 27th of October, the entire Carlow Farmers Market was decorated with Halloween decorations.

Furthermore, all the traders wore Halloween costumes. Among the attractions were live music and face painting. Pumpkin soup tasting, guessing the weight of the pumpkin, and a Pumpkin Carving Competition.

At this Crazy Carved Pumpkin competition, everyone could bring their pumpkin to the market before 10 am. The winner has announced at 1 pm. prize was available for the scariest, funniest, and most ingenious pumpkins.

It was a beautiful Autumn day and Carlow Farmers Market Halloween Event was very successful.
