Pink & white Irish Spring

Irish Spring is Pink & white, these two colors dominate in my backyard in April. Especially pink magnolias are my favorite flowers at this time of year in Ireland.

Magnolias Trees are stunning and glamorous, named after French botanist Pierre Magnol.

Magnolia is an ancient genus.

Magnolias are believed to be the earliest known flowering plants. Appearing before bees evolved, the flowers are theorized to have evolved to encourage pollination by beetles. To avoid damage from pollinating beetles, the carpels of Magnolia flowers are extremely tough. Fossilized specimens of M. acuminata have been found dating to 20 million years ago, and fossils of plants identifiably belonging to the Magnoliaceae date to 95 million years ago.

Besides, I photographed in my backyard other amazing pink flowers, called Viburnum farreri Stearn, according to Pl@ntNet identify.

So, Viburnum Farreri is a species of flowering plant in the family Adoxaceae (formerly Caprifoliaceae). And, it is native to northern China. Growing to 3 m (10 ft) tall by 2.5 m (8 ft) broad. Besides, it is an erect deciduous shrub with sweetly perfumed, pink-tinged white blooms in late autumn and early spring. Its dark green leaves are bronze when young. Then, turning brilliant shades of red-purple in autumn. V. farreri grows in moist but well-drained soil in the sun or partial shade.

Also, I photographed a beautiful white wild cherry tree.

Below are my photos of the Pink & white Irish Spring.
