Christmas at Arboretum Home & Garden Heaven

Throughout the year Arboretum Home & Garden Heaven surprises their visitors with some news illustrating the changing seasons. So in Winter, the Centre is becoming a real Christmas paradise, full of fabulous ornaments and ideas for Christmas presents.

Christmas at Arboretum Home & Garden Heaven:

  • There were very popular annual Christmas Events like Breakfast and Supper with Santa. They built a village of Santa Claus every year with a house of Elves and real Santa’s reindeer.
  • There was also a magical post box open from November 2nd to December 15th. They had a post box created by the charity LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions so all proceeds of the Santa stamps, purchased in-store go to LauraLynn. You could purchase a special stamp in-store at the checkouts and post your letter in the Santa Express post-box. Arboretum Santa Stamps are €3 each. Each letter posted resulted in much-needed funds going directly to Laura Lynn.

Unfortunately, 2020 is a strange year. They had to cancel all events this year. Because of the restrictions and Government guidelines prohibit Arboretum from safely proceeding with their Santa events,

Also, Arboretum has to postpone their Santa mailbox opening in-store, they want to offer an alternative digital option to allow the kids to get that special reply from Santa.

This year since 18th November Santa’s post box at Arboretum is open for business.

Special express stamps must be used, and these are available at the checkouts for €3 each. Here’s how it works: Buy an Express Stamp at any checkout for €3. Have your child write a letter to Santa on the special Blossom Ireland notepaper. Apply the stamp. Post the letter in the post box and in a couple of weeks, your child will receive a reply from Santa Claus! You can also apply the stamp to pre-written letters to Santa. This year, all the proceeds are going to Blossom Ireland. The charity, which was created by Auveen Bell in 2010, provides practical, innovative, and impactful programs for young people aged 14 and over with intellectual disabilities. Letters must be posted on or before 15th December 2020.

This Christmas, we may not be able to do as much visiting and socializing as usual.

But we still can make our homes and gardens as festive as possible. Arboretum Home & Garden Heaven are open and they encourage you to shop online. This year their beautiful Christmas themes of Enchanted Garden, Deck the Halls, and Cosy Chic are available online. Also, their Cafe is open for take-away.

All departments will be open on Tuesday 1st December and the cafe will be open for sit-in dining from Friday, as per the Government’s guidelines and with all the safety measures in place.
